After two successful events alongside NFT.NYC, it looks like Bored Ape Yacht Club’s ApeFest 2023 is looking at new locations. The annual festival for Bored Ape and Mutant Ape holders, ApeFest has become one of the most anticipated NFT events every year. While in the past two years it coincided with NFT.NYC, one of the biggest annual NFT events, this year, Yuga Labs is changing things around. Let’s take a closer look at what we know so far about ApeFest 2023.
Earlier today, blockchain expert and BAYC investor, JBond shared Discord messages from the BAYC server announcing ApeFest’s change in location.
“We’ve been getting some questions about ApeFest timing this year since NFT NYC has changed to April,” NGBxBen wrote on Discord. “We’re still working on the specifics and don’t have any details to share yet, but we can tell you that it will not be in April.”
“NFT NYC has been an amazing setting for our first two ApeFests, but we’re super excited to explore new locations this year,” they added. “Hope that helps anyone that was worried about booking travel.”
However, there is little information on what the location could be. Moreover, neither Yuga Labs nor BAYC has released any official statements regarding ApeFest 2023 location.
Hosted by the Bored Ape Yacht Club team, ApeFest is the biggest annual festival for Bored Apes and Mutant Apes holders. The event is rife with music, merch, art, an open bar, and much more. What’s more, last year, BAYC co-founder Gordon Goner even suggested ApeFest 2023 to be both digital and physical. The idea was that those who couldn’t attend the event IRL could likely participate through the Otherside metaverse.
