Zora has the numbers to show for it being a top NFT Marketplace contender in 2022. Over 1.3 million NFT editions have been sold on Zora in this year! In an official Twitter thread, the Zora marketplace lays out the numbers for a variety of sales metrics and creator success stories. In this year, Zora stands witness to over a million NFT edition mints. An “Edition” means a collection of identical NFTs that are minted for a fixed price. This kind of NFT minting option took off on the marketplace this year, with over 5,800 artists/creators using the option. The 1.3 million minted editions also saw over 180,000 collectors, on over 1,500 ETH on primary sales.
These creators include the likes of NFT builders like @poolsuite, @katecursed, @visualizevalue, @_nic_hamilton_, @FWBtweets, @nounsvision, @rainbowdotme, and more. The successful Editions contract allows creators to fully control their launches and access options while doing so. This includes multimedia support, fixed, timed, and open editions, airdrops, allowlists, overviews, and more! Moreover, the best thing about all this is that the marketplace allows all of this with a simple, no-code tool.
Zora contains tools that allow anyone – artists, developers, record labels, creators – to not just buy and sell NFTs, but to launch entire NFT collections. They can also build independent marketplaces, and branded experiences, and because of this, Zora is the tech powering a lot of the coolest music projects in web3. Additionally, Zora also sees two major music Editions sell out this week! The two Editions are “Guaranteez” by Stockz & chillpill (feat. Ayotemi) (50/50 sold out), and Culpa Mía (25/25 sold out).
