Top sports apparel brand Nike’s RTFKT Studios partners with Division Street’s Oregon-based brand Ducks of a Feather to launch a limited-edition AR helmet NFT collection.
RTFKT is teaming up with Division Street to support its mission to empower University of Oregon 
The project’s mission is to support the student-athletes at the University of Oregon. To assist the athletes to commercialize their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), the firms created a set of 291 digital collectible AR helmets.
Division Street will use the proceeds and royalties from the sale of the NFT collection to advance its goal of supporting the student-athletes at the University of Oregon.
Starting on December 20, from 10:30 AM till 3:30 PM EST, RTFKT Clone X and Flying Formation NFT holders could register for an exclusive private mint draw. To be eligible for the draw, the user must possess an NFT from one of these NFT collections.
Additionally required for entry are an RTFKT account, a WalletConnect-compatible crypto wallet, and a wallet with at least 0.75 ETH ($908.78).
There will only be one entry allowed per RTFKT account and per wallet address. At the time of writing, the private draw mint registration is closed.
291 winners will be randomly chosen for the allowlist and permitted to mint on December 21 between 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM EST. 500 more winners will be chosen for the waitlist and allowed to mint after 2:30 PM EST.

There won’t be a public mint, but members of the allowlist can still mint on the waitlist allocated time. Supporters of RTFKT who don’t own NFTs but still want to support the project can try on the helmet in AR using the Snapchat app.
In addition to receiving future NFT gated access on RTFKT.com ahead of downloadable 3D wearable files of the helmet for digital wearability, holders of the helmet NFT will get a limited license to the creative content associated with the helmet.
Collectors will also be able to forge an exclusive 1/291 physical football jersey during the helmet-minting process. The AR football helmet NFT has no physical counterpart.
Todd van Horne, who has been designing Oregon football uniforms for the past 20 years, designed the physical jerseys. Horne’s earlier designs are all combined in the limited-edition jersey’s layout.
You cannot receive the physical jerseys from the forging event for the helmet NFTs if you own the NFT after the first purchase because all helmet NFTs on the secondary market will have already claimed their physical jerseys.
There will be 10 digitally signed Phil Knight helmets among the 291 AR helmets. Phil Knight is the co-founder and chairman emeritus of Nike.
During the private mint event, 10 of these helmets will be randomly minted on-chain. The 10 digitally autographed helmet owners will also receive actual Phil Knight-signed jerseys.
