Souls of Nature NFT
The environmental impact of NFTs is contested, but one upcoming NFT drop aims to protect endangered species while being a fun metaverse game.
Whether or not you agree with the narrative of proof-of-stake blockchains not being eco-friendly – they are energy-intensive, but some crypto proponents have pointed out they have less impact on the climate than other industries – this new NFT project could attract both gamers and those interested in animal welfare.

Cryptoassets are a highly volatile unregulated investment product.
Exact dates for their NFT minting haven’t been released yet, but the drop in Q3 2022 will consist of 9,271 Nature Souls NFTs – which will be in-game characters for players in their immersive HD metaverse gaming experience, powered by the Unreal engine.
A percentage of the profits from the mint will be donated to protect endangered animals and their habitats around the world.
While playing the Souls of Nature game, NFT owners will be able to upgrade and nurture their unique animal NFT, and earn free crypto – the project aims to be an ‘experience to earn’ game where players are re-born into an animal soul and sent on a mission to help the environment.
Part of the roadmap is also to launch a built-in NFT marketplace to trade Souls of Nature NFTs, and 7% royalty fees will be in-place for sales on secondary marketplaces.

We’ll be following this promising project and its goals to protect wildlife, using NFT technology to alleviate the environmental impact of NFTs and all industry – which could help non-fungible tokens continue to grow in popularity among the mainstream.
