At first sight, Fuzzles look like adorable little monsters straight out of Monsters, Inc. But firstly, these are unique NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Secondly—and here’s the best part—powered by AI, these little monsters can chat and play with you. Created by Gala Games and Endless AI, Fuzzles are first-of-its-kind “living” NFTs.
“We see ourselves as pioneers navigating the uncharted worlds of blockchain-based entertainment and AI-enabled interactivity,” said Michael Fox, CEO and Chief Creative Officer at Endless AI. “With the “living” NFTs of Fuzzle, we’re just scratching the surface of what the future may hold. The possibilities are endless.”
According to its website, “Fuzzle is an AI-powered individual that reacts and adapts to speech and learns as you interact with it”. There are a total of 9,997 Fuzzles in the collection. You can type or directly talk to these monsters for anything from seeking dating advice to creating a fictional story together.
While they remind one of the digital pets like Tamagotchi or AI assistants like Siri or Alexa, Fuzzles NFTs are not your average AI assistants. While they look and sound cute, Fuzzles are sassy and will often leave you with “What the fuzz!” moments.Â
For instance, John Osvald, President of Games at Gala Games said his Fuzzle told him he was “developing methods” to turn John into “human-meat meatballs”. On the other hand, a Decrypt author described their Fuzzle as “a strange combination of innocent and cynical, scientific and conspiratorial.”
In short, Fuzzles brings together AI, gaming, and blockchain in a never-before-seen way. This is all thanks to Endless AI’s in-house intelligent production platform, Clockwork and the leading Natural Language Processing AI, OpenAI’s GPT-3. These technologies help Fuzzles to communicate naturally and intelligently, with a human voice.
As previously mentioned, Fuzzles’ primary function is to chat with its owner. These intelligent AI beings can recognise your voice and learn from your conversations. And, in turn, it can develop opinions—sometimes even controversial.
Apart from this, you can level up your NFT by playing mini-activities as well as through storytelling modes. What’s more, you can partner with your Fuzzle NFT and participate in community contests and events to earn rewards. The more active you are, the more your chances to earn!
You can also collect WTF achievement badges and earn accessories and other rewards. With the help of video editing and meme-makers, you can also flaunt your NFT on social media. Going forward, Gala Games plans to introduce more features to these mysterious creatures.Â
Gala Games has been releasing Fuzzle “Pods” in batches since April 27. You can buy these Pods from the Gala Games store and then trade them for Fuzzles NFTs. For this, you simply have to go to CollectFuzzle, connect your MetaMask wallet, and follow the prompts to exchange your Pod.Â
Once exchanged, the Fuzzle NFTs will show up in your wallet. You can then interact with them through the Fuzzles app.
