Barak advocates for zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs as a solution. ZK-proofs allow on-chain data verification without revealing the underlying information. By shifting the focus to individual wallets, ZK-proofs significantly reduce the ROI for hackers, making large-scale attacks on centralized databases less appealing. This, Barak argues, positions blockchain technology as a crucial component in global cybersecurity enhancement.

The demand for privacy solutions is escalating within the Web3 ecosystem. As AI algorithms increasingly process metadata, and large institutions require robust privacy safeguards for on-chain operations, privacy tools are becoming indispensable. Further emphasizing the importance of privacy, Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson announced a multichain airdrop of the Midnight token at Consensus 2025. Hoskinson believes this initiative will unite the often-divided Web3 community.
