The NFT boom of 2021 was all about collectibles, memorabilia, and connecting with celebrities and brands. But since then, we’ve come a long way. We’re now stepping into the next era of NFTs, where the Web3 assets are leveraged with high utilities and IRL perks.

The Bay Apes is one of the emerging projects that has this principle at its core. Before we get to this, let me give you a quick understanding of the NFT space in the context of nightlife, culture, music, and more.
As an artist and innovator in the Web3 space, I’ve found a gap between technology, art, and culture. Although there has been progress in important niches that are a part of our lives (Earning, Finance, Investments, etc.), there’s still a lot of room for more practical use applications and NFTs.
So, besides making smart music for Web3, I began my talk show called Poppin Crypto with Cassius Cuvée. I regularly attend Web3 events and conferences globally, and discuss concepts such as the metaverse, NFTs, DeFi, and Crypto on my show.
One of the recent events I attended was the XRP’s Apex Developers Summit, which showcased what the platform had planned for the future while celebrating where they came from. It was an enriching experience where I connected with people from diverse facets, interacted with them, and even minted an NFT on the XRPL.
On my show, I recently spoke with a special guest by the name of Jamal Trulove. He stepped into the NFT space, and he and his co-founder Bennett Montoya conceptualized the Bay Apes NFT collection which celebrates nightlife and party culture.
The Bay Apes is the first-ever NFT nightclub membership and community which offers high utility, trait perks, and passive income.”
The Bay Apes community is made up of 6800 people with many notable influencers featuring Symba, Stunnaman02, Marshawn Lynch, & Marc E Bassy. Some of the partnered nightclubs in the San Francisco Bay area include the Valencia Room and Dahlia.
The NFTs consist of three different membership levels – Elite Apes, Male Apes, and Female Apes. The three categories offer various perks to people who like to visit nightclubs in the Bay Area, drink, party, and socialize. Each NFT costs 0.5 Eth.
Owners of the NFT get free entrance to nightclubs, as well as access to an open bar or free bottle service, and this exclusive NFT perk is available two times a month. Besides this, holders also have the option to sell the booking of their open bar or bottle service on the Bay Apes public marketplace.
Therefore, the Bay Apes NFTs are not just for people who go to nightclubs all the time — rather, the owners of the NFTs can also become facilitators of the nightlife marketplace. This innovatve feature is known as the ‘Airbnb of Bottle Service’ as it functions in a similar fashion.
If you compare the price of the NFT with the real-world value of club bookings, pub event access, and bottles, you’ll see that the latter costs about $8000 to $15000 in a year.  On the other hand, the NFT will give you access to all these and more for a lifetime at merely .5 eth, which is roughly $650 right now.

For now, the Bay Apes NFT nightclub membership is only available in San Francisco, but they’re already in the works of expanding into LA. The team is also in the process of developing a booking platform for their exclusive NFT club, so get ready for the first-ever nightlife marketplace platform to launch in the coming months.
Visit www.thebayapes.com for more information about minting one of their NFTs and joining their vibrant Discord community.
Currently, the team is expanding their community and working towards a partnership with Vegan Mob in the Bay Area. The idea is to leverage the NFT to get perks such as a meal at this establishment. The funds from the NFT sales will be deposited into the community for further development of the platform.
This can include the development of the marketplace, venturing into new partnerships, and thus offering more perks and utilities to the holders of the NFT. In the future, there will also be IRL projects and ventures such as exclusive clubs for the community, the people of the Bay Area, and the existing Bay Apes holders.
Overall, The Bay Apes is one of the many Web3 projects that bridge the gap between tech and culture. It acts as a medium that would allow people to celebrate where they come from and express who they are through their music on Web3 platforms and metaverses.
Another significant project is the Decentralized Social. It identifies a similar gap between Web3 and Web2. Applications and platforms used for socializing aren’t scalable on blockchain due to challenges such as centralization, ownership of content, and more.
DeSo aims to solve these challenges and move to the next frontier for the blockchain in the form of social media. It has built apps such as Diamond, which acts as a hub for creators to reach out to a global audience, express their skills, and even be paid for it.
The platform has over 200 apps built on the chain for people to explore and participate in. With these, DeSo has created an ecosystem for people across the world for different purposes and means of using social media apps.
With projects such as this and The Bay Apes, we’re now heading into an era where projects aim to form IRL-Web3 communities for more people to get on board the revolution. Considering how Web3 is the future, these projects will play an elemental role in progressing the mass adoption of blockchain niches and use cases.
