Kith has finally dropped some details of its partnership with the NFT project Invisible Friends. The collab between the two brands marks another step forward for the successful NFT project.
In its announcement about the partnership, Kith notes the goal of the partnership with Invisible Friends is to create “an experience that will bridge the digital and physical spaces”. In particular, the two will drop a small collection of special NFTs. What’s more, these NFTs will give their holders exclusive access to future drops.
To sum up there are 12 “Kith Friends”. This consists of nine 1-of-1 NFTs, and three larger editions. All of these NFTs feature the distinctive Invisible Friends NFT character dressed in custom Kith clothing. In fact, each NFT will be sporting a look from Kith’s Summer ’22 collections, which are inspired by its store locations.
Basically, the nine 1-of-1 NFTs will go on auction on OpenSea for 24 hours, with the first sale taking place on May 18th at 11 am EST. Another key point is that the proceeds from the sale will go to charity. Specifically, the two will donate the money to the Kings Against Violence Initiative. This nonprofit from Brooklyn, NY has a mission to tackle the violence that affects young people in the city.
The other eight 1-of-1s will launch the next day, May 19th, at 1 pm EST. Notably, the people who win the auctions will receive physical pieces matching the fit that the NFT is wearing.
The three larger collections of Kith x Invisible Friends NFTs will be available exclusively for Invisible Friends holders to mint. Similar to the 1-of-1s, these Friends will feature upcoming Kith for Invisible Friends clothes that only the holders will be able to claim. That claim is set to take place in February 2023.
What’s most unique about these Kith Friends NFTs is that they will evolve and change clothes throughout the year. These wardrobe changes will reflect the Kith products that the holders will get early access to. Clearly, aside from the excitement of partnering with a name as big as Kith, this collab presents some major utility for Invisible Friends holders.
